The Answers You Need

What are the Care Instructions?

Care for your new piece is very simple! All of our food grade items including cutting boards, serving trays, and charcuterie boards, are pre-treated with a proprietary blend of mineral oil and beeswax. Feel free to wash your board by scrubbing it clean with soap and water. After washing, wipe your board dry with a towel. Please do not ever put your board in the dishwasher! Nor soak your board in water, as it will warp! From time to time, based on use, you will find it beneficial to re-treat your board with a protective finish of Donovan's Board Treatment Wax or another of your choice.

What is your return policy?

We are happy to offer returns on all items within 30 days of purchase. The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the reason for the return is the fault of Donovan's Wood Designs. Custom orders and items engraved with a personal message are not eligible for returns or refunds.

What are the shipping costs?

Please allow 1-3 weeks for Shipping. Shipping costs are automatically calculated for each order based on the size and weight of the items within your order. We package and ship all orders as quickly as we can process them. Once the order has been confirmed and shipped, you will receive a package tracking number.

Can you do custom engraving?

Donovan's Wood Designs owns and operates a X-Carve engraving machine with which we will offer custom personalization services. Most of our items can be engraved with the message of your choice. Names, dates, company logos, you name it! Price depends on the quantity and scope of the project. We unfortunately cannot offer any returns or refunds on engraved items. Please reach out to us for more information about engraving including design and ordering options.

Do you do anything special for Weddings?

It is always an honor to be apart of someone's special day! We can build customized gifts for the bride and groom with engraving names, dates or whatever else you had in mine to make your gift personal and special. We can even scan in a wedding invitation to recreate design elements to your piece directly from the invitation. We also enjoy working with brides and grooms to help them create memorable gifts for their bridesmaids, groomsman, and wedding favors for all of their guests.

Can you do bulk quantities?

Please reach out to us if you are interested in ordering a particular item from us in a volume outside of what is available on our website. We create new patterns and items for general inventory in lower quantities and we are always happy to specifically batch any of our items in a dedicated larger batch to accommodate your needs. Please note, that since we are a small family owned business, we might not always be able to accommodate your needs, but would love to try and help you any way we can.

Can you do custom client/corporate gifts?

We truly enjoy working with other great businesses to fill your needs for unique and memorable client or corporate gifts. Standard massed produced oversees items just don’t cut it anymore. So let us help you create an item that you are truly proud to showcase your company logo on or special gifts for the staff.
